What’s eating / attacking our caterpillars?

Me and my son have been trying to grow some veg this year, and we kind of let it go and didn’t bother with it, as a result caterpillars have eaten most of it. So we thought we’d make a little caterpillar house for them and watch them turn into butterflies.

About 5 days in we’ve come out and some sort of green tiny bugs are attacking the caterpillars, so we made a totally fresh habitat for them, with new gravel, leaves and sticks. The one that had been attacked we put back in the garden and we moved each caterpillar over one by one. We’ve come out this morning to these little green bugs attacking another caterpillar!
Any ideas what they are and how they keep getting in here!

It's a bit difficult to see what the bugs look like. I do know that cabbage white caterpillars can be a host for wasp larvae. Not very pleasant :(

Yes, my sister has a big tree in Pennsylvania and these caterpillars are all living in it. But also these wasps put their eggs on some of them.
