What’s going on then you people are talking like its not out on DVD as far as I know there is a crap version coming out on the 15/8/00 R1 but there is the ultimate version out already.

I have had for about a year now made by LIVE Entertainment it’s a R1 THX 5.1 version with

    Director approved transfer

    Audio commentary by Oliver Stone

Audio commentary by Captain Dale Dye

Documentary (A tour of the inferno)

Full interactive menus with film backgrounds

It just does not get better then this so has it been cancelled or what ?

If you like the film this is the one to get not that new crap one that’s not even THX

Yeah, the 'new' version ain't got much on it in the 'extras' area.

But the version you have is no longer available and by the time I got in to DVD it was being auctioned off for GB£50 a pop.

My Platton that's coming is less than £12. It's no big deal about the extras (for me anyway).

I'll give you a tenner for yours! [IMG]

Why did they stop making my version then ?

Why is the new one not THX ?

Err £10 I will think about it mmmmm

    NO

From what you said I best hang on to it.

Live Entertainment no longer own the DVD rights.

The rights (along with almost all of Orion's releases including The Terminator) have moved to MGM.

So all of Live's extras (inc. THX) are probably owned exclusively by Live. And they no doubt don't fancy 'giving' them away (same as you with your version!) [IMG]
