There is a few accessories I want to get for my new camera, so what a good cheap place.

Also I have read there is a 1710mAh battery for my camera which the normal one is a 1090mAh Li-ION (for my Olympus) anybody know where I can get one of them?

    Hello Again :)

There are lots of batteries available for our cameras on eBay, copy cat ones here : http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=3338&item=3828793983&rd=1 and 'official' Olympus ones here http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=43447&item=3830174174&rd=1
I've bought this one because it included shipping etc http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=48539&item=3830388321&rd=1

    HTH!
    Nicola

Have looked on loads of digi camera sites and none of them list a 1710 battery for your model. Even the Olympus website only mentions the standard battery.

    Sorry!

Thanks for looking Greg ;) . I saw these though.

    Quote from a review site.

A few points that have arisen. The battery(1090mAh) is pretty good, but there is apparently a 1710mAh battery available. This would be worth tracking down.

    And this one.

Can't fault this, a spare 1090mAh Li-ION Olympus branded rechargeable battery for my C765uz. Takes four or five charges to reach full capacity, but I'm still playing with the menus and modes in the camera by then, so no hardship.

The battery comes with a small plastic cap to protect the terminals from shorting against your keys/change - not bad.

There is apparently a 1710mAh version available, but I can't find it, so I'll stick to these.

Not unless it is an urban myth, but they seem specific on the 1710mAh

I have just searched on yahoo for 1710mah and get 1 reply only for a battery manufacturer but doesn't really help.

    Hi Garrett,
Yes I did! The Buy It Now is NT$ 700 but paypal converts it to GBP and it was only £11.The only downside is you have to wait 4-7 days for it to arrive.

Bargain! A genuine Olympus battery plus shipping for £11.

Some UK websites charge £30 + for the same thing.
    HTH!

Interesting, good reason to add spare battery to the shopping list ;)

Any recommendations for a camera bag to fit the C765? Don't need huge amounts of space, just something that will protect it from knocks when I'm out and about.

    cheers
    Andy

I ordered one from him but it was a bit of a pain paying the guy, I never got a clear payment link for Paypal and his payment address is different to his mail address.

I do not know about protecting it from knock dut I have leather pouch for my Mini Disc player with extra small pouches so I use that and I can put an extra battery in the place for the disc.
I also got a 512 Lexus memory card so I do not need to worry about running out of memory.

Oh yes, I'm sorry Garrett, I should have told you about that. I noticed I could'nt use the My eBay Pay Now button but you can enter all the details in etc with the manual way so we are covered somehow if anything went wrong.

Let me know how long it takes for yours to arrive :)

Im also too on the lookout for a case, I'm using one that I got free with DCMag which is good but its too small really for the c-765. I dont really want to pay £25 for the Olympus one, I do like the look of the red Lowerpro one that you get if you subscribe to a photo magazine (can't remeber the name of it offhand)
I think they are boring camera cases! I wouldn't mind a nice pink one! :p

Just to let you know I got a bag for my camera from Jessops in the Trafford Centre the other day. I was in there agtes deliberating and tried them all out. It is black with a blue trim and says 'Trekking' and 'Sansomite' and it has a velcro flap and a small zippered pocket on the front that would hold the Oly battery and at least 2 xD cards. it is quite small though and I think in time I would buy a bigger one - being a typical woman I like to put more than is inteded into any bag ;-)
It was £11.99, I would have prefered a LowePro bag but the camera compartment was zipped and i thought it might be a faff to get in and out?
    What has anyone else bought?
