My old mans got a pair of these speakers, which my mum wants to replace for his birthday (they dont match the furniture(Women:D )).

Anyway my question to you is are these speakers any good, cant say ive been very impressed, but i suppose there only runnin' off an old sony inte(will be replaced soon) and sherwood cdp.

Would a pair of Wharfedale D8.2, mission m72s or similer better these speakers.

    Cheers 4 any replys

Linton XP2's were on the go,iirc, late 70's early 80's and cost around £80. They were not bad speakers and it may be possible to recone them if you or your dad are feeling nostalgic.Failing that a trip down to Richersounds with £100 may be more appealing.
