None at all. Bi-amping from separate and identical amps is the only way to do it and again that depends on the quality of the speakers. Four binding posts on a lot of speakers are just fashion accessories.

What amps and speakers are you talking about.

Yamaha A-S201 amp and wharfedale 9.1 speakers.. at the moment get them wired Black into LF and Red HF with brass plates fitted

There is no point at all in bi-wiring the Wharfedales. Leave as you have them as singled wired. In reality all that bi-wiring does is to move the crossover from speaker to amp. No gains at all.
