Wharfedale 750S and DVD-R

Just burned a DVD-R (Memorex 4 x) on my Panny e100; everything seemed to go well. Unfortunately, although it plays back in the E100 fine, I get a "Bad Disc" message from my Wharfedale 750S. I don't have another DVD player I can test the disc on at the moment so I was wondering if it's truly a coaster or it's just that the Wharfedale can't handle DVD-R.

I have tried all of the Wharfedale range over the past 18 months,and although newer models seem to like +R discs,none have ever played a -R disc

Thanks phelings. I suspect the best solution is to buy a Panny S75 or similar to replace it. That would also have the benefit of taking RAM too.
