wharfedale 750 cd problems

    Okay i know its old and will be upgrading in about six months, but can anyone help.
    My wharfedale dvd player no longer plays cd's may they be copy protected or not.
    Have cleaned the lens etc but no joy
    Any ideas?

    Does it still play DVD's okay?

    How does it connect to your TV/Amp?

    my 750 did exactly the same thing, was connected to tv with scart, and for no reason at all it just stopped playing cds, even when i cleaned it, fine with dvds tho!

    I guess I've been pretty lucky then 'cos I've had mine since they came out pretty much and never yet had a problem with it for *any* disc at all <touches wood> :D

    dvds used to play okay now recently not reading either region 1 or 2 occasionally and a bit grainy. Fuuly wired scart to progressive tv panasonic 36pd30
