I want to get a second set of front speakers so I can listen to my hi-fi in another room. I don't want to pay a fortune, want ones that are as small as possible without compromising on sound quality and want ones that look nice!

I'll be driving them from an Alpha 10P3 power amp which is 100 wpc so I also need speakers that can cope with this amp.

    My shorlist so far is:
    Wharfedale Pacific Pi-10 £139.99
    Mission M71 £109.99
    Mission M72 £139.99

I've heard good things about the Missions (I already have 781's for my main front speakers), but I really like the look of the Wharfedales.

has anyone heard the Wharfedales, are they any good, what about the Missions? I don't like harsh sounding speakers but want as much bass as possible from a small box without sounding boomy.

The Mission M72's would get my vote personally, £118.36 at QED by the way.

The only way for you to be sure for yourself though, is to try demo'ing them. That's what I recommend most.

I must admit I do like the look of the M72's, I think I may get some on loan to see what they sound like. Thanks for telling me about the cheaper price.
