    Afternoon all,

Looking for an upgrade for my works computer - currently 6600 with 4gb ram.

Not looking to spend a massive amount, and would consider just a mobo/cpu/ram/cooler bundle.

Office tasks only but current system is struggling with lots of open tabs / widows.

    Thanks
    A

3570k, Gigabyte Z68 mobo and 8Gb DDR3 - overclocks to 4.5 GHz easily. £90 inc post. You'll need your cooler to add ;-)

Well it's market rate - I saw two other similar systems for same money (IvyBridge 3570k). No point going cheaper as you won't see any difference from your Q6600 (presumably was OC to 3GHz+).

Well I could do him with 2x8 but I don't think he wants to pay even more ;-) Besides I ran the 8Gb machine up until earlier today and it was fine with tabs (multiples) but if it worries anyone there are things like The Great Suspender etc and One Tab....
