Ok while we are all thinking of our top 5 films how about a list of the 5 worst films.
Maybe it would be more fun if we avoided the obscure really bad films that hardly anyone will have heard off and concentrate on 5 of the worst mainstream films, just to get arguments going

Demons 1 & 2....real B movies. But i bet some people on here really like this kind of film.
In fact they are so bad as to be a good, as a comedy!.

    Mystery Men - Very bad
The Sixth Sense - Yawn
Unbreakable - Double YAWN!!
The Phantom Menace - Jar Jar Binks (Say no more)
Independence Day - Could it get any worse ?

Hundreds more that I could mention, but it's hurting my head thinking of all these bad movies.

alanrob, I have to say I couldn't DISagree more with some of your choices

Mystery Men is one of my favs, The Sixth Sense IS overrated but it is a good film in it's own right and Unbreakable is also superb (I just watched it again )

Off the top of my haed I would have to choose:

    Street Fighter The movie
Independence Day
Armageddon

Like I have said I am not really convinced there is such a thing as a terrible movie, they are just perhaps not as good as other films

In fact some of my most watched films are those people tend to hate, such as

    VIRUS
WING COMMANDER
FROM DUSK TIL DAWN TWO AND THREE
PHANTOM MENACE
DEEP RISING
ALIEN 3 and 4
almost all Segal and Van Dam movies
so perhaps I should take a chance and buy BATTLEFILED EARTH

However THREE films which I can not stand at all are, these are......

RANSOM, you just know that a child will never be killed in this way in a 15 rated movie and there is just no suspense at all.

DUNGEONS AND DRAGONS they could have made a potential real fantasy epic with the source material available to them

AMERICAN BEAUTY just do not get me started on

Well it was my initial message that started this so i better give me list of 5 worst films.

    Phantom Meanace-
Easy target I know but come on Jar Jar Binks, no likeable characters, no decent bad guy, federation trade politics. Very poor.

    Marked for death-
I've chosen this but really take your pick out of any Seagal films minus under seige. The guy really is the most talentless uncharasmatic goddamn awful actor to walk this planet. The fact that i actually bought Exit Wounds just underlines how long it has been since a decent action movie was made.

    Natural Born Killers-
Some would have you believe that this is a clever biting satire on American culture, while in reality it is one o fthe worst films ever that relies on excessive vilence to make its mark on the world. Which would be ok if it had the balls to admit it.

    Detroit Rock City-
Ok if pushed i would actually name this as the worst film ever. I watched it about year ago and with each passing minute i marvelled at how some scripts actually make it onto the big screen. Truly, truly truly awful with no redeming features.

    Batman and Robin-
A well deserved reputation as being a complete and utter turkey

Tomb Raider. No offence to Chris Barrie, but he shouldn't be the best thing about a film like this. I spent the whole film hoping to care what happened to someone, anyone, but was sorely disapointed.

Star Wars: The Phantom Menace. No excitement or involvement at all.

Highlander 2. Don't really want to think about it to make any comments.

Judge Dredd. Great effects, Mean Machine looked superb, but ****e story, and worse comic relief.

    Forrest Gump.
Martin.

Here goes then again in no particular order.

    Avengers
What was Sean Connery thinking of, his bank balance presumably.

All Jaws sequels especially ones that have Michael Caine anywhere near them!!

All Original cast Star Trek sequels, the 1st one I enjoyed the rest were bad..

    Superman sequels nuff said.

BluesBrother 2000, why oh why oh why would anyone make it?

Bit of a sequel theme but lets face it most are pretty S**t.

    Mainstream baddies:

Tomb Raider - latest Hollywood crap
Moonwalker - watched it something like 13 years ago and it should not be called a movie actually
Star Wars Episode 1 - watched it on TV recently, what a stinker
Highlander 2,3,4 - there can be only ONE
Three Kings - not funny at all - IMHO
Others:

Cool World - real life/animation mix
All Van Damme movies

Can't think of any more but surely there are some ...

Soldier ( they must have worked real hard to make it resemble a low-budget 70s sci-fi movie)

Ransom ( the only film I ever walked out of the cinema for : I didn't even finish my pop-corn)

Mission to Mars ( what the hell was that oh my god stop it no no arghh!!!)

The Avengers ( actually made me feel nauseus)

The Postman (I even tried this drunk and it just made it worse but at least I missed bits of it when I had to relieve my bladder)
