I have a bunch of used 3TB WD Reds (all model number WD30EFRX) that have seen varying amounts of usage in my HP Micro Server, and all now no longer needed after swapping to 6TB drives. None are making nasty noises of impending doom, so are sold as known good working at point of dispatch.

All have had surface scans run using MiniTool Partition Wizard, and have printouts of that and Western Digital Dashboard reports of being of normal drive health and SMART outputs for drive hours and power on cycles etc, fully wiped etc. Can post images of these printouts, if required.

All are now out of warranty.

Starting with the highest usage:

#1 58,014 hours use, build date 7/9/2013 - £30 SOLD careless_adi
#2 57,968 hours use, build date 7/9/2013 - £30 SOLD careless_adi
#3 38,203 hours use, build date 25/7/2014 - 1 bad sector - £25
#4 14,533 hours use, build date 2/12/2018 - £45 SOLD careless_adi
#5 458 hours use, build date 2/12/2018 (not a typo, it really has had that little use, as I realised I needed more space!) - £60

I also have a 6th drive which I need to wipe of a backup but can be sorted relatively quickly if wanted

#6 52,307 hours (will go up as need to wipe it!), build date 25/7/2014 - £30 SOLD careless_adi

The drives with higher hour count are probably best used as back up drives, and not in a RAID. They work perfectly well in a desktop PC.

All drives are boxed in original WD packaging and can be shipped by whatever method a buyer prefers at cost. Obviously more economical per item if buying multiples.

I'm currently having treatment in hospital every couple of weeks, which wipes me out for a few days each time, so postage may take a few days but I'll always keep buyers informed of any potential delays if that's the case.

Hi there. I can offer £100 for 4 drives (not one with the bad sector) - I'm in Burgess Hill so collection/meet somewhere is possible.

Money is tight at the moment and I can't justify another £10 on an already impulse purchase... £100 is my max I'm afraid. I'll be able to pick up on Tuesday 17th during the day as I have to travel to Ascot for work if that suits?

Go on then - first thing in the morning on 17th would work well for me - I’m literally 2 mins from the Pease Pottage services so should be suitably straightforward. Take to PM to arrange?

I'll be driving past at around 9:45ish... not quite first thing. Is that alright?
Yes, lets take to PM to arrange.

Just the two drives left if anyone is interested - I may just keep the low hours drive and stick it in my desktop to replace the 2TB WD Green that's in there, if nobody wants it

Sorry that’s too low - would rather keep it. Suspect postage won’t be cheap

Am away from home all week so may not reply as quickly as normal

Postage shouldn't be that much, sent a few out myself, can do £55?

I'll get back to you after I get home on Sunday, if that's OK?
