And what a beautiful place it is :smashin:

The rain stopped long enough for us to walk around without getting soaked, we even had a bit of sunshine! I've wanted to go for years and it was well worth the wait. It took Clough William Ellis 50 years to build and you can see it was a labour of love. Would thoroughly recommend a visit to anyone. Here's the website for more info - Portmeirion

Was gutted however as I left my camera at home  I had to make do with a bloody throw away one......and there were pictures to be taken everywhere you looked!!!!

Me and the other half went there last year and was very surprised, its like your not in England anymore. Did you do any of the tree walks whilst you were there?

You weren't...you were in Wales :D
We only had about an hour so we just did the basics, but I'm hoping to go back (with a comfortable pair of shoes for the walks!!)

It is one of the best programmes ever made, you should get hold of the DVD’s or watch them if they are repeated again on BBC3 or 4.

I been to Portmeirion an number of time and think its one of the loveliest places in the UK.
I have been there a couple of times also when they have had a Prisoner convention there which is really weird as a lot of them turn up in costume like out of the series.
