Hi guys, what do you think might be causing this problem:

Last night I was watching xXx (Triple X) R2 on my Toshiba 520 connected to my 32ZD26 via component, and during a few scenes in the film either the TV or DVD player switched into 4:3 mode for a second or two (I *think* it was the DVD player because the TV didn't flash up a mode change notice). I tried the DVD in my Panasonic DMR E-30 and it worked fine.

    Any ideas?

If it only does it on that one disk, then it might just be an encoding compatibility problem between that particular disk and the Tosh DVD player (presuming your Tosh player is set to 16:9 in the player's menus).

I didn't think widescreen switching signals were carried in component leads anyway, so if so it would have to be your DVD player (unless your TV tries to do it "intelligently", on the fly, or I'm wrong about the signal carrying).
