Went to watch a film last night on Sky Movies 1, this was through the amp (Denon 1906), the problem is I am getting no sound, this is the same for Sky Movies 2 and 3, but all the other channels are working fine. If I then turn the sound up on the plasma, sound comes through the speakers, also tested on other TV's in the house and they are also working fine. :suicide:

Last week I watched a film on Sky Movies 1 through the amp and this worked fine, is it something to do with the upgrade and sound signals.

Go in to the sky+ audio settings and make sure that the audio is set to digital. to confirm the presence of a digital signal, have a look at the back of the box, you should see a red light emitting from the optical out socket.

The settings are set to Stereo and Dolby for sound, there isn't a digital item on there, but why would all the other channels work with the exception of these three?

    I'm confused :suicide:

movies one, two and three are the only channels (apart from disney sometimes) that use dolby digital as opposed to PCM stereo

Watched a film last week on it without any problems and it changed to Dolby when the film started.

Just had a thought and on the remote changed to Auto, it then picked up the sound on Sky Movies 1.

    Phew.

the sound on those three channels is sometimes lower than on others, depending on your amp, but so long as you are connected by optical and have sky sound set to dolby I can't think what else would cause the loss of sound. (assume you haven't changed settings on your amp?)
