Weird Pal60 Xbox Problem

I've connected my UK Xbox to my new wall mounted projector with the official advanced scart cable (with a coupler and another Thor scart lead to give it the hight).

When on Pal 50hz - no problems.

When I switch to Pal 60, the green Xbox start up menus are fine, but when you load a game (I tried Gotham 2) the screen seems to split with around a 1/4 of the screen rolled off the top of the image, and rolled onto the bottom of the screen. The display is still in colour, and, other than this weird split screen effect, looks great.

The Projector is in "Auto" mode for the TV standard..... in fact, the option to change this mode is blanked out when the Xbox is connected.

Any ideas?!

have you tried just the xbox cable without the extender and the extra scart lead, that may be your problem.

Try moving the Xbox closer to the projector and doing what Garyd suggested anyway, it's not a solution, it's just a way to see if it's the coupler and/or Thor scart that is giving the projector the problem.

Iain.

I have seen this affect on my Z1. It selected the wrong resolution. When I went in and selected 480 it corrected itself.

Yeah - I thought It was a resolution issue - but how do I alter that in the menus for the AE500.... You don't seem the get that option with a scart connection...
