I recently bought my dad a cheapo DVD player with USB input. I have connected an external HDD to it and played some movie files off it fine. I deleted the movie files off the drive then put some new movie files on there. However, even though on any PC it shows as having the second lot of movie files, when I put it into the DVD player it shows as having the original movie files, and even plays them!

Sounds like your have created a 2nd session on the dvd and the dvd player can only see the 1st session.

Check the disk size to see how full it is.

he's talking about an external HDD, Marty, not an actual DVD disc.
