My wife had to post something off today to someone who had won an ebay auction, and asked me to check the address because she couldn't believe it.

Apartment n, 2nd Star On The Right & Straight On Til Morning, Land Of Green Ginger, Hull.

A quick google revealed that it was in fact correct, with 2nd star on the right being the name of the building, and Land of Green Ginger the name of the street

    Anyone got a stranger address?

Can't beat that I'm afraid & doubt anyone will :D

In my very early teens I met a lovely young lady on holiday, after few days of extreme tonsil-tennis the holiday came to an end & we exchanged addresses before I departed. On jumping in the car I opened up this little note
to see the address as '20 Nonsuch Walk'. For the entire journey home I was absolutely gutted thinking she'd stitched me up! But it was indeed a real address

World's End Lane is surprisingly common. I just like the sound of it and used to pass one on my commute to work. It looked the part too!

In Denmark addresses in buildings with flats officially refer to Ist or 2nd etc on the right or left. No guesswork necessary.

BTW: Why is weird spelt weird and not wierd? As in: "ei only after "c"?
