My first post and first entry so please be nice!!

Went to visit the in-laws yesterday on the Isle of Wight, Ryde, and walking along the beach saw thousands of these worm casts, the sun was just beginning to set and it looked beautiful.

    Hope you like it!

I like the perspective " a worms eye view if you will",The focus is good and is well exposed to my eye:thumbsup: .The horizon not being straight lets it down slightly though.

    well done for entering:smashin:

I like this one (apart from the horizon). Looks soft and gooey, sharp focus on the subject and a long blurred view back.

With hindsight I agree the horizon looks much better straight...I have software edited it to a straight horizon and it looks much better...I dont think I am allowed to re-submit so will put that one down to experience!!

Thanks for the helpful comments though.

I am enjoying looking at everyones submissions and their take on soft!

This is great. Love the DoF. But the wonky horizon is a bit off-putting though. But a great 1st entry though. Will look forward to seeing your entry next month.

:smashin: Brings back memories of digging down under those casts for the lug worm for fishing.

    Hi,
Ryde beach certainly would be a good place to go digging for lugworms...there were thousands!

I have sorted the horizon out now too, will know for next time...did not know you could straighten it with software!
