Wedding Video Business - Help Me Spend!

Hi all.

After years of doing videos for my friends/relatives, I am investigating going into business providing wedding/christening/event videos.

I have budgeted around £5000 for equipment to set the business up that I would propose spending as follows:

2 x Canon XM2 £2500
2 x Tripods £500
Dedicated PC for editing £1000
Lenses, batteries, bags etc £1000

I already have editing software (Premiere) which should be up to the task.

I am no expert (as previous posts will show!) and would be grateful for any comments/advice on this proposal.

Thanks.

I'm no expert but from my own experience and my little chapo Mini DV cam, an External Mic or 2 may be of use for improved sound quality. Especially for Church based recordings where you may be limited as to where you can place a camera.

You don't seem to have mentioned lighting.....
Nice choice of camera, although wouldn't one XM2 and one more pro camera be better if the money is there? Or one XM2 and one cheapy for now to allow you to upgrade when you can afford to.
