have recently joined a golf club and they need a site. I have offered to design a website for them, at first I was just going to do a very very basic site like so:

Logie Golf Club

But after speaking to my boss who did our company site via www.1and1.co.uk, this seems a better option, but there is a charge of £5.99 pcm. I have a meeting to discuss what requirements the comittee have of the site, but I thought I would ask which is the ideal direction to go with this ? Dont mind paying if its something like a small amount per year, the site will be required for information for members, nothing like a company site that needs to attract visitors for business purposes, more like to replace the paper that gets stuck up on a notice board ! some photos, fixtures, results, handicaps etc....

Sounds like a good idea. Ask the members for a small contribution each month to cover costs. What's a few pence every month I'm sure most of them wouldn't mind?
