My area for freeview is really weak and add on to that I have only got an indoor aerial, is there a way to boost the signal?

You could try indoor boosters etc. but, by the sounds of things, you'd be wasting your time and money.
A weak signal area is just that and requires the best possible aerial installation for reliable reception.
Things, hopefully, will improve when the digital switchover is complete.

I really don't know if it's really weak, I live in zone 2 south london. I checked and the date of change over is 2012!!!!!!

Do you recommend any booster, as it's only a few channels that are a bit weak, most are ok with a normal aerial.

If by "Zone 2" you refer to transport zones it could hardly be less useful information for this purpose as you could be next to C Pal or far away in rustic Putney and behind a hill/buildings. Also, many of our wise members come from places like Yorkshire so know no more of Zone 2 than you do of Ilkley Moor. :D

The wolfbane info - see Fernandez post - is useful.

I don't think we have collective wisdom on cheap amps relative performance. So try any.
