We want Progressive Scan on Pal too

    Isn't it ironic that the latest generation of DVD players will offer progressive scan on NTSC signals only, yet they would wish to sell the machines in a mass Region 2 market, excluding those of us with hacked or chipped machines.

    As I understand it Hitachi have released a couple of progressive scan TV's. Will this work on them ?

    I am looking at a new projector sometime in the future, once I can pluck up the courage to tell my wife and as my R1 collection is growing by the day I will have to part with that little bit extra cash and buy myself a progressive scan DVD player.

    On some of the U.S. websites they are raving about the Toshiba DVD progressive scan.

    We are not going to get HDTV maybe progressive scan is an evolution of an already impressive format.
