WDTV question

Well-known Member

I have an Asus router that allows upnp etc via usb if I get a WDTV will it allow me to connect it to the router so I can see it remotely???

Anyone tried it etc.

At a guess no it probably wont work.

The WDTV does not support UPnP, if you load in a hacked firmware you can get UPnP support, the hacked firmwares also have drivers for the USB network adapters.

Unless there some special voodoo going on in the Asus router I dont see how it could work. There are also speed implications to take into account the hacked WDTV isn't very good for streaming HD video.
