WDTV Live: How good/pain-free is the cover-art/synopsis gathering?

    Hi

My XBox 360 does a great job as a media streamer in terms of being Logitech harmony compatible and having both Netflix and streaming for my large collection of Xvid/AC3 movies.

I would like the same cover art/synopsis gathering that the Boxee app has though.

Unfortunately, the Boxee box has neither netflix, nor a decent remote.

WDTV Live looks like the only device that covers my needs, but I'm unsure as to how good its artwork/synopsis gathering is.

I'll be clear: I do NOT have the time to do manual artwork adds; and have plenty enough hobbies without adding tinkering around with one of these boxes to it.

Will a WDTV Live slot neatly in and download artwork/synopsis with little work, or is it another 'project box'?

At this rate, I may just forget it and stick with my XBox 360 until someone brings something new to the market..

So long as you name your movies correctly, there should be very little tinkering to do.
I now have 3 wd TV live smp's and can't be assed playing around with thumbgen and themes. So like you I want to it to work straight out of the box and I have no complaints with the scraping so far.

    I use the following format

Toy Story 3 (2010) --- not sure if the year is important though.

Always does a great job, never had any difficulties finding what I am looking for.

If you do use Phoenix renamer,

For Windows uses like myself... tip:

Create a desktop shortcut of the "phoenix-renamer.exe" file ie.. (right click it and pick Send To - Desktop (create shortcut)).

Then just drag and drop 1 or more files to be renamed onto the shortcut.. and in a few seconds... renamed,, brill

I'm a Mac user; and stream via the awesome UPNP app 'Playback' by Yazsoft. Both my PS3 and XBox 360 like Playback, so if the WDTV Live is any better than a paperweight then it will too.

Does the WDTV Live do a film synopsis like Boxee too?
