wd tv live smp onnect via usb to 1 tb hdd help

    Want to connect my wd tv live smp via its usb at back to a 1tb hdd which is also wd one in an enclosure, but no luck, Is it possible And how do o do it Want to put some movies The wd smp is already connected to a nas on my network Thanks

    Not 100% certain of what you mean, however the SMP has 2 USB ports, front and rear. I have a 2TB WD Book connected to the front USB port and it works perfectly, there are reports of speed issues with the rear USB port hence me using the front port. Just plug in the USB drive and the SMP should recognise the drive straight away

    ive got wd tv live smp model wdbgxt10000nbk
    want to put a 1 tb hdd in an external enclosure to one of its front or rear port usb
    when i connect it doesnt show any thing on the wd movies or files
    ive got some movies on the 3.5''1 tb external hdd which has got its own power supply
    ive tried both the front and rear ports but its the same
    im using the new firmware 1.11.14
    how do i set this up
