Hi all.
I seem to be having trouble not being able to access the subs on some films even though a sub track (srt) is there. Any ideas?

How you playing the file ?

Subs wont always work over DLNA which is media servers on WDTV.

You must go through internal/external storage or network servers which is windows networking browsing.

Also srt should have the same filename as the video or be embedded within the mkv file. Try re-running the file/subs through mkvmerge and set the language name/title on subtitle track (this is what the UI displays when browsing subtitles).

Thanks for your help. The file did need renaming but it seems to play the subs through the whole film and not just the non English parts, which is all I wanted. So assume it's complete English subs?
