Looks like an interesting alternative to multiple LNB's on a large standard dish for anyone after Sky, Euro1080 and Hotbird...

    Anybody tried one..?

A lonely post circa 2004 ! May I borrow it please for my use and hopefully generate a little interest?
Having read good reports on the Waverftontier Toroidal dish, I hope to get a T90 for use with my new HUMAX 2000 satellite receiver.
Prices for dishes seem more reasonable in Europe, than here in UK - anyone had any experience of purchasing and importing from within Europe that they would care to share with me (and maybe others)? Were handling / delivery costs prohibitive and did you have to pay any import / customs duties? Any / all information greatfully accepted! Many thanks, cambshiregordon

Thank you for providing this link. It appears from www.sccdistribution.co.uk website that they no longer carry the Wavefrontier dish.
http://www.multilnbdish.com/ is a very helpful site, and I will contact the European outlets on Monday to see if they can supply into the UK and at what price. European prices for the T90 seem to be about 130 Euro, which converts to approximately £88 - compare this with the £149 wanted by UK outlets that I have so far found!
If any one has experience please of buying in from Europe, I would welcome your views - see my post number 2 above. cambshiregordon

Was looking at these - as they allow multiple receivers to share a dish and see different satellites at the same time. However fitting multiple Quattro LNBs and a 16 input multi-switch (which would give you 4 satellites - I was thinking about Astra 1, Astra 2, Hotbird and Thor) mounted up quite quickly. I have decided to go motorised initially - as I plan to move house in the near future so will re-think when I move.

I have a motorised dish but it has died again through lack of use. It annoyed me and the neighbours as it was hardly quiet and if you're aimlessly hunting for feeds takes too long to move back and forth. The ability to pick up 2 sats at the same time is a big bonus as you say.

I was going to be cheap and only put a quad on 28e :)
