Only notice this on dark back backgrounds....when used with
    Panny AE100.
I've used it with RGB scrat and does not show up, Got a good
component cable(want to be for 100 euro+) and best way to
describe the interence is its like waves accross the srceen
I'd say its always there but seen clearly on dark images.
Any ideas what it could be....have kept the mains cable
away from the component lead as much as possible.

    Hi Ger

Funnily enough I was messing around with my setup today and noticed some interferance like you mentioned through the component output. I have a plasma screen and a denon 2900 and noticed it first on a blue background that the DVD player outputs in stop mode. This was in interlaced mode when I saw it, on switching to progressive scan the interferance went away and looked solid like it does in RGB.
I know I have a different setup to what you have but are you displaying the signal in progressive or interlaced?

    Cheers

    Rob

    Ger,

Is this the vertical stripe problem ? Grey/green stripes, declining in intensity from left to right ?

    Cheers, Carl.

No, just like a wave moving from left to right at a slant......I'm
all for buying good cables as theres no point paying good money for 2 bits of kit and having 50 pence holding them together but
I assume the cable is good so....haven't noticed any interference
from other sources connected to the projector which is why I'm
    looking at the Philips.

I have a dv88p+ and a sim2 and I get faint wavering lines as well. I've ordered some filters to see if that will work - I'll let you know.
