It's definitely Watson. I've seen that name before, but damned if I can remember where or when. No idea about how good it is.......

Gonna need you to go back and get a model number or a photo or something to help us to help you.

You never know, it might be HiDef ready, has a Pixel Response of 4ms, a Contrast Ratio of 2000:1 and 4 HDMI sockets!!!!......or maybe not.

    hi,

LCD3051TS is the part number. Can only come up with one find from Google -A Forums site in Holland. Says it's :

    Resolutie 1280 x 768 - helderheid 550 cd/m² - contrast 600:1 - 100 presets - automatische tuning - Picture-in-Picture - TOP/FLOF Teletext - on screen display - aansluitingen: 2 x scart, AV-cinch, S-Video - 2 jaar garantie

Again a 15:9 like Viewsonic. Is this a problem being 15:9?

    £822 for a 30" LCD - not bad really?

    Cheers

    Mel

    Hi
I have also seen this in Makro. Had a peep inside box !!!!!! 2 thick manuals inluded..for about 12 languages. Saw a reference to MEDION, which is a brand favoured by ALDI, so it may be a Medion rebadged.

    Bye

I too saw it at Makro.

Assistant showed me rear sockets which included a white "DVI" which I took to mean 'ready for High Definition'. Am I right?

Its model number was "MD41530" but that hasn't brought anything up on Google.

So, back to Naisy's question. Has anyone bought one? Is it any good?

it looks like it, but that ones only 27" :)
so £699 for 27" or £822 for the 30" (but you've gotta have a makro card)

So the Watson at Makro is a Medion MD41530.

    I found a long string about a Medion 41630
    http://www.avforums.com/forums/archive/index.php/t-142532.html

    and

    http://www.avforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=142670

and some very happy purchasers at £1099

Can anyone sus out the difference between the 41630 and 41530

I must admit i get confused by spec lists, especially on non-english web sites and I still dont know the true significance of the white DVI socket on the back of the 41530. Will it get the most from High Definition when it comes?
