The pool has now been cleaned and new lights installed at Colchester Leisure World leading to much better conditions for the D700 to do its job. Main set are on Flickr but here are a few, C & C welcome

I know I have still not got this quite right but hopefully there is an improvement

Good stuff, 13 being my pick. Tricky sport to photography really as you can't get down on a level with them so everything is photographed from above. Although with a public pool like that there's always loads of distractions around the pool edge so some times being above removes them.

They've changed the lights at the pool I work at too, so much nicer to have roughly daylight bulbs when your lifeguarding there for hours! I can only imagine how much better they are for photography too.

Great - and unusual set - number 16 for me

Very interested to see the wide variety of people in the teams - all ages and "statures" :smashin:

Thanks for the replies chaps, the club are quite pleased with them I hear, the uppercut didn't actually make contact and was not intended (I think) was a good clean game.

Was asked today why I do this stuff, loads of time spent for little or no reward other than a possible credit in a newspaper in a town I don't live in. I think its in the hope that one day someone will see my stuff and think "hey, were short of a tog for the big match, wonder if this bloke can do it".

Maybe one day I will get to a Colchester FC game or something, suppose I will have to try and find an agency.

Meantime, anyone need a camera - I'm available ...

Yes that's what I thought...very varied set and subjects. The goalie in 9 looks like he's about to do some underwater ballet!
