I've got an old mac mini that doesn't have HDMI out. It does have DVI-to-HDMI out for video, and uses an optical SPDIF out for audio.
I'm looking for a new receiver, and need to make sure that I can mix inputs so I can watch content from the HDMI cable, but listen to content from the SPDIF cable. I know I could just run the HDMI cable from the mac mini to the television, but I'd rather run it all through the receiver
Does anybody know if either the Pioneer CX-1022, or Sony STRDH720 can do this?
