I'm new to freeview and I can't find out how I can watch one channel whilst recording another. I was told in dixons yesterday that sets over £100 are capable of this. Can anyone confirm this and if so which model should I buy.

Pace Twin

or

Seperate box for a vcr and an IDTV

Thanks for that reply. I assume that means if I want to receive in digital.
If I want to record in Digital but am happy to watch in analogue whilst this is happening, can I do this with a box that has an rf loopthrough?

You'd just watch the usual channels from your TV while your VCR records from your digibox.

All digiboxes will have an analogue loopthrough, but not all of them offer the abililty to modulate the digital channel into RF so that you can tune one of your sets spare channels to that - but that's only an issue if your TV doesn't have SCART sockets.

If you want to record DTTV quite a bit a Pace Twin is your best bet

I thought the Twin had soft picture issues, or have they been solved now?

Fixed at first update
