    Hi,

Just interested to know what people thought of the shearer elbowing incident last night.

I personally don't like the miserable git but I still thought Justin Whittle was out of order, I know Shearer had caught him earlier on but it was nothing like what he received.

The referee was about 6 foot away saw everything & gave nothing.........

What goes around comes around. Anyone remember 'Big Al' kicking a Leicester player (Muzzy Izzet?) in the head on the touchline a few years back? Nothing happened to him at the time as he was the golden boy of English football.

I don't actually remember that incident although the lads in work have been discussing it (although they seem to think it was Neil Lennon?) and they reckon when shearer was questioned over it (video evidence) he threatened to pull out of the England squad & not go to the world cup!

That's another reason not to like him.............

Glad Shearer got some back - he's dealt out much more than that over the years!!

True enough - it was a foul but i was glad to see him getting a smack in the mouth as he is as dirty as they come.

I'd invite both Shearer and Whittle to give a smack to the Liverpool players...

Shearer won my cheeky get' award for his whinging after the game. Worse, Townsend was backing him up later on ITV claiming he's been 'hard but fair'. B******s. Yes, it was a bad foul, but after years of 'big al' dishing it out, what goes around has come around.

    Serves him right.

Shearer got us kicked out of the World cup in 1998 when Cambell scored a superb defenders goal, just for Alan "Thug" shearer to punch the keeper in the face as it was going in.

Referee spots it and disallows the goal, Argentina go through to the Semis

He's got far more than he's ever given out.
He just gets on with it. Its cheating vermin that are forever trying to get him sent off by collapsing hands over face (no blood - ever) so many of them pull the stroke, and only the truly moronic and intellectually challenged football fans are fooled (like yourself for instance) or a really poor ref who has it in for Shearer (like Uriah Rennie) are conned.

Not nice to throw personal insults around mate, by all means express your opinion but don't get personal as it's not welcome on these forums :nono:
