    http://www.speedball2.com/

Not much info on there really. I can read German and apparently the community manager says the first playable version should be out in the next couple of days. Hopefully they can get a video out of it!!!!

    Brutal DLX!! :D

I wonder if its a 3D remake or just the same game but online? Judging by the dev stuff it will be 3D.

But why not just make it Speedball 3?

    Ice Cream!

I would love it if they just keep it like the original with only graphical updates.

I got so excited it was unreal :)

Just it is now tainted with a little apprehension :p as usually these sort of things get messed up!!!

Hopefully the beta will come out shortly as that is mentioned on the website.

I have been hoping of something like that for Silent Hill that is the only game thats been capable of scaring the living **** out of me and although I havent played it in a while was the only game that I would not play at night.

AND I DIDNT EVEN HAVE A SURROUND SOUND SYSTEM BACK THEN

Hmmm, I wonder if the Bitmap Brothers are involved in any capacity. I'd still love to play the finished game, even if the original developers aren't involved. Hope they don't mess too much with the gameplay and keep the old samples as well ("Icecream, Icecream, Icecream" when you injure a player, plus all the grunting).

No this is being published by Frogster, they bought the rights from Bitmap Brothers a couple of years ago. They have just posted up some screenshots of a couple of devs playing the game, can't really see much. Stadium looks really bare and looks like quite a big playing field.

Also, it is not a top down view, but what looks like a free floating camera....... not sure that will work?!!?!?

Its just that there is a bitmap bros logo at the end, so I thought they were still involved?
