Should have placed a picture warning ;)

GP never advised you to see a specialist; higher level than him?

spoke with some other family member and they did get them when they were younger around there knees but they went after few years and were not as bad

Our youngest daughter, though only 8, has suffered a very similar problem.
Her hands were a mess :(

The doctor gave us a treatment to "burn" them off and it worked on the odd smaller warts but we couldn't use it on those in a cluster. Quite often they came back and it also made her hands very sore. We then were referred to the dermatologist who recommended taping them up with electrical tape for 7 days, something to do with the adhesive in the back of the tape that can stimulate the body into getting rid of the warts. However, this did not work as my daughter kept removing the tape
We researched into homeopathic remedies and tried a plant formula called THUJA from Woodlandherbs.co.uk for a couple of pounds. You paint it on the warts twice a day for 2 weeks and it was nothing short of miraculous! They have now all gone.
We do not work for or have any connection with the above company either.

I've read that warts can last for anything from months to years, but they do eventually go without help.

I had a couple of large-ish warts on my right hand for about 2 years in my twenties, but they went away on their own eventually and left no marks whatsoever (which was a pleasant suprise because I'm prone to developing unsightly keloid scar tissue).
Once they started to go, they went pretty quickly aswell.

Hi Echo

It was actually my wife who sent the first reply (i called her in cos she dealt with it all). She's cooking the kids dinner at the mo but she's given me the bottle, still got some left. She says "yes" the one you quote is definitely the one we got...almost. The strength on the bottle i have infront of me though says 1:5 45%, 50ml. The one you quote looks a little stronger, not a bad idea? My daughter is only 8 afterall.
My wife "thinks" you might be able to get it in Holland and Barrett but she did get ours off the website. She also said to say if you look on netdoctor (not sure if its .co.uk or .com) and search Thuja you'll find some info, that's where she found out about it.
Hope this helps.
ps the electrical tape DID work on a few smaller warts.

I had a really massive wart on the back of my finger which wouldnt go away - it used to bleed because I always picked it. Three quick aplications of Wartner (that liquid nitrogen type stuff) and it dissapeared within about a week - fantastic stuff, and it didnt leave a scar either

I had a smallish wart on a fingertip for ages.

Recently started using a new Dettol antibacterial handwash (saw it in ASDA) after every loo visit and was suprised to see the wart disappear almost overnight.

when at school I had a cluster on the right hand, and tried for about 1 year to get rid of them. Tried the specialist creams, etc, and whilst they went down they came back up. Eventually I stopped using anything, and they just disappeared more or less overnight shortly thereafter.
Looking at your pictures, I would definitely go to someone else for advice other than your GP.
Good luck

I had 2 on my foot when I was a kid and my GP got rid of them with liquid nitrogen.

If you can put up with feeling like you're being branded/burnt for a few minutes then it works a treat, or did with me.

I had lots as a kid. Doc also burned them off with Liquid Nitrogen; can take a few goes over a few months. The ones near your finger nails are the ones that REALLY hurt when he burns 'em!

Only ever had one wart, on my left index finger, stubborn little git. Anyway, one day is just :censored: me off too much, so i "loosened" it a little, then just bit it hard and pulled it out including the root. Never seen so much blood come from a such a small hole!

My youngest has a wart just below his lip.

Have been doing the Thuja tincture, painting it on three times per day for the last two days. We can already see it breaking up - it is definitely working.

All I can think is that maybe the Thuja and nail polish together are counter-acting each other for you?
