The shop I'm buying my sanyo Z3 has a warranty offer, it costs around 100$ (I'm from Europe)

this special warranty says the following:

If something gets wrong with my product in the first year of purchasing it, I can send it to the shop (free shipment), they will do a technical research if it's really defect and after that they'll send you the money you've paid for. (of course, no real cash.. just a bon so you can buy a new product in their shop)

I was wondering.. if you purchase a Sanyo Z3 you automatically get a 3 years warranty from Sanyo? Why should I pay 100$ extra for a second warranty of only 1 year?

So, if something gets wrong with my Projector (in the spawn of 3 years) I just need to contact Sanyo and they will repair my projector? It doesn't have to do anything with the shop I'm buying from?
