Is it worth buying an extended warranty?
Looking at buying a hitachi 32" plasma for around £1800. Warranty looks to be around £150 - £200 per year after manufacturer period. I have looked at the John Lewis website, but they only stock a £2500 32" plasma (different model). So is it worth spending a fortune on a warranty?

Personally i'd add it to your home insurance. When & if it packs up, let it fall off the wall or stand :)

the amount of money you would spend on a waranty you could buy a 42 incher from jl with a free waranty assuming you have the space.

Not really wanting anything over 32". The difference over an online retailer is £600. What i want to know is do people tend to have problems after the 12 month standard warranty
