Hi. Sorry if this is wrong forum to post in!
I have bought this 6-way mains lead:
Lindy 6-way review â whathifi.com
There are two warnings on the lead:
- Warning: This mains lead incorporates a screen and cannot be rewired.
- DO NOT remove plug and connect directly to mains.
Now I know it's pretty obvious that I shouldn't. But I am hiding this behind a false wall, and want to rewire it to a switch on the front of the wall.
So are these warnings just there to stop you from voiding the warranty, or will I actually encounter problems if I cut the wire? Because as far as I can see it's just an earth, live and neutral, which can obviously be rewired easily.
Thanks in advance.
