Do any of you notice a difference in the sound of your amps after they've been running for a while?.
I've had a persistent problem with a very slight 'raggedness' creaping into the sound I'm getting from my HK amp. So far I've put this down to the amp running out of steam, problems with my speakers, the speaker cable not being up to the job or poor quality soundtracks on movies. Last night I realised that after an hour or so of listening, the harsh quality I get, particularly with dialogue, seemed to lessen or disappear altogether. Of course by this time I had consumed several glasses of wine - so maybe my ears were becoming a bit warm, rather than the amp .
Seriously though, could this all just be down to my amp needing an extended warming up period?.
