Well right now its running through a vga cable. I have a cable from hedphone socket to rca points on amp. Im using a wireless keyboard and im having to play videos with wmv. I want it to work like a part of the tv, as easy as it is to use sky!

You need a graphics card which supports HDMI throughput audio to your amp/TV and try XBMC to organise your files into a user friendly interface which surpasses the likes of sky/virgin!

Media Center is a good place to start, if it's already installed with the version of Windows you have. It can't do blu-ray, but pretty much everything else.

Stick a couple of Freeview tuners in and it becomes a PVR.

    Get a remote control.

    HDMI graphics card.

    etc, etc.
