    Hello.

This is the first time I have visited one of these forum type things. I Love it. Love it loads... :)

    I am after a DVD player which will also play MP3s (on PC format CD-Rs), CD-R, & CD-RW .

There are a few of these around, but I also require a digital out. This is to go to my mini-disc player. My current dvd only has digital out for Dolby.

I have seen the "Scan" DVD player which should fill my needs, but I still don't understand what "PCM Digital" means. This is what my current player says on the back, but it says "To Dolby Digital decoders only". However, I think I read somewhere that the Scan player supports digital out.

    Can anyone help me please?

    Cheers!

All players with Digital Out support at least PCM (Pulse Code Modulation, ie. CD-Audio) and Dolby Digital (formerly called AC-3), the new models of course DTS, too.
This can either be coaxial or optical cable.

    Thanks for that.

I'll give my existing one a go and see what it comes out with.

    Cheers!
