As the forums grow faster than ever and our review discs pile up higher and higher each month we urgently need new Reviewers!

    What we are looking for?

    1. The most important thing is being able to write a comprehensive review which includes accurate technical details on the DVD being reviewed (sound, picture etc).
    2. Someone who is trustworthy, reliable and can complete tasks quickly and on time. That person must have the ability to review at least two discs a fortnight.
    3. A reviewer’s home cinema equipment is important and must be correctly set up and calibrated, however it doesn't need to be thousands of pounds worth of the best names. We all know a well put together and calibrated system is what is important.
    4. A Knowledge of film history.
    5. A Knowledge of technical issues surrounding the mastering and production of a DVD.

    What we offer you

    1. In exchange for your time and effort, you will get to keep the review discs. This is unpaid work
    2. The chance to write for not only AV Forums but your reviews will also be featured on Total DVD Online, a well respected and popular publication website. Little details like that do look good on CV's.
    3. The chance to review DVD's in advance of release dates and the opportunity to see films and DVD's you might not otherwise buy or see.

    The Role

    1. You will review Exclusively for Total DVD and AV Forums.
    2. You will be required to write reviews to a deadline (not as strict as it sounds)
    3. You will be expected to write to a high standard with proven skills.
    4. You will review a wide range of genres (however if you specialise in a certain area of cinema styles, i.e. Asian films, horror etc then let us know)
    5. You will receive 100% keepers a month on average.
    6. You will be expected to review at least two discs a fortnight.
    7. You will have the equipment to allow reviews of multi-region Discs.
    8. You will have a good knowledge of word
    9. You will have a multi region DVD Rom device for screen shots.

    Applying

To apply please write two reviews on DVD's you already own and base them on the format we use in the review forum (Screen shots are not required, just your text).
Once you have written your reviews then please send them (in word format) to totaldvd.net@btopenworld.com along with a quick bio on you and your system. Please include a phone number in your email.

Please DO NOT send me any PM's, all correspondence will be via email and telephone.

Thanks and looking forward to hearing from you.

I would like to introduce a new reviewer to AV Forums Norman MacLeod. Norman will be reviewing for the site very soon.

Just a heads up that we still have plenty of places open and would welcome new reviewers as well as those experienced amongst us. I don't have time to give everyone extensive feedback but each person will get a prompt reply.
