I am in the process of buying A LG 3D TV but I need of course a new blue-ray DVD player to play my 3D discs but also the 2 d as well. Have also been told that some payers converts 2d to 3D that does a better job than the built in one on the TV. As I am new to this 3D I hoping somebody can give some names of good players that can do this My Limit is about £100 but could go slightly more if it is worth the cost. Many thanks for any help given

2D to 3D conversion is a gimmick which doesn't work very well. I wouldn't make it a primary criteria in choosing any equipment.

Have you checked out last years panasonic bdt 110 bluray player? Plays 3d movies, does an ok job of 2d to 3d but does sometimes get bits wrong. Think its around 100ish.
Some go on ebay for around 30-40.

Failing that theres the bdt 120 the latest basic player. Not sure on price though.

I'd go for a bundle where the 3D BR player comes with the TV but if it's too late for that then any player will do!
The TV will look after 2D>3D which can be excellent given the right material, and any player will play any discs of any type that you give it - heres a few of which the Samsungs would be my choice: BR Players.

I think you'll find the LG 2D->3D TV conversion is rather good.

I have both Panasonic and Samsung blu-ray players, that include conversion, and in my view the Samsung does a better job but I can't comment if it would do any better than your LG. It's also now a bit on the pricey side (check my sig)
