I am having a simillar problem with my Vista Laptop.

I accidentally deleted some files off of my external hard drive and so using a program called Recuva I attempted to recover them. Although they came back they were corrupt and now I am unable to delete them.

Whwn I do try, the "calculating time remaining" box comes up and just stays there doing nothing. When I press the cancel button it just says "cancelling" and the only way to get rid is to restart the machine. Can anyone assist??
