I'm after better sound from my setup but I'm not sure what I'm looking for. I'd like deeper bass and clearer, more detailed sound. I'm wondering if it's worthwhile replacing my DVD player with a CD player as I'm constantly reading that they're much better for CDs. I'm wondering though if there would be a significant improvement as my Limit sounds pretty good. I used to have an Arcam Alpha 7 CD player but believe it or not it didn't sound as good as my old Toshiba SD-420E DVD player. I'm considering the Cambridge Audio Azur 640C v2.

I have a Cambridge Audio Azur 540A amp and Mordaunt Short 914 speakers. I'm not really willing to upgrade these as they're fairly new, but I'll consider it. I'm willing to spend up to £500.

Thanks in advance for any responses.
