Anyone know if gamestation is open on boxing day - or if there's anywere else worth checking out tomorrow?

Alternatively, if I go out on Wednesday, anyone know where might be best to visit to get the best bundle?

Cannot remember the name though :(

Your local branch of Gamestation, get the £324.99 deal (bags you Premium + 2nd wireless controller (2 in total), XBL Arcade, PGR3, Smackdown (trade it in straight away if you don't like), two other games of YOUR choice assuming in stock...

http://www.gamestation.co.uk/cat.asp?cat=xbox360&t=hardware

...deal is on web as well as in stores. If manager in store doesn't like then print out page and show him (although most will so it will be rare that you'll have to do this) :)

Yikes, that's a great deal - anyone know if ther're open boxing day n if so, what time?

I'm not too familiar with the games so what would you recommend? I don't like fighting or sports games but like flying, driving and combat... though to be fair, I've never played a football game, and love sports on the wii !

Find your nearest branch in the lists, click it and it will show the phone number (so you can call 'em tomorrow) as well as the address :)

As for games out of the genres you prefer...

Project Gotham Racing 3 (which comes with that bundle anyway, Fight Night Round 3 (boxing), not sure about flying as I'd stick to my PC with the analog joystick if I want some aeronautical action :)

i'm in the same boat as you, was waiting until xmas to see if anyone took the many huge hints i left for the xbox, but to no avail, i must not have been a good boy this year.

So i'm off to the local gamestation in Sheffield to see if i can bag myself the great deal they have on at the moment. Assuming that they are open tomorrow ( could be hit and miss in the centre of sheffield) and they have the games in that i want, which could be the bigger problem, i want Gears of War and R6:vegas, plus a network adaptor and the plug and play chargers.

I'm willing to drop at least £400 on the day, but i have a feeling i'll be coming home empty handed.

Edit.

Just phoned them up and they proved me completely wrong, they are open and have the games i want.

Morrisons had a bundle, premium console + Gears of War for £279. Worth a look if you've got a store near you

well they were open in sheffield ,and let me tell ya, it was rammed.

just set the system up and had a play with the dashboard thingy, but can't seem to set my network up very easily. i'll have to actually sit down and read the manuals :thumbsdow

yea, the have - but I think that 249 for the premium plus pgr3 isn't as good a deal as the gs deal - 329 for the same PLUS controller, 2 other games, www smackdown and arcade ... you couldn't get those other bits for 80 could you?

been into game today and they had what I thought was a good deal, think it was 360 premium with pgr3 smackdown and some arcade game and an extra controller for £300 or somehting, similar deal on pre-order was pgr3 and pinuata game with xtra controller for £280....

I was really surprised as i thought the 360 was dearer

Well, before the xmas rush began in end of October the Premium bundle by itself (1 wireless controller, hdd, component cable, NO GAMES) was by itself £279. This means that the deal you got basically nets you the 3 games + 2nd wireless controller for only £20 = result!

Hi mate - do you mean on ebay or something? Cos the games I'd want are around 35 per pop (trade-in smackdown for something, PGR3, plus 2 extra - eg GOW and COD3) and the extra controller 32, plus arcade ... - that's around 130 new easy if outsid of a bundle ...

I'd LOVE to know if I'm just missing a trick tho and I'll be down to BB first thing ...
