I plan to get a Pany PW6/7 and would like to mount it on the wall so it looks more or less like a picture frame.

Most of the mounts that I have seen in the flesh have been the tilting type which result in the panel hanging a few inches off the wall.

I want mine to be flat on the wall - what is the best way to do this:

    (i) I've seen low profile mounts advertised - how far do these leave the panel from the wall?

(ii) Would it be better to fix the mount in a recess in the wall so that the panel sits flush against the wall - nice idea but I can't see how you would be able to fit and lock the plasma onto the mount - is there such a thing as a telescopic mount, fit the plasma away from the wall and then push back so its sits flush

(iii) Are there any cooling/ventilation issues

I would appreciate any advice or pointers to useful websites or books.

    Cheers,

    Nigel

    i) the most common distance is 6.5 cm for non-tiltable versions.
ii) you'll probably not need it anyway. take a look at Vogel's plasma wall mounts, for instance (model 2001, I believe). They come in two pieces: you secure the base on the wall and the frame on the plasma; Then, just slide one piece over the other and you're done.
iii) as long as u don't recess the wall mount into the wall itself, you should be fine.

Have a look at the model at www.rs100.co.uk
This fits almost all Plasma screens and is as flat as possible.
