Probably a simple question, but beyond my limited knowledge...

I've got a 42" Hitachi plasma that weighs 35kg and I have a universal wall mount bracket.

BUT, as far as I can tell using my stud detector, I've only got 20mm thick plasterboard that I can attach the plasma to.

Is this enough to support the plasma?? My gut feeling is that it's not.

    Cheers

If it is 20mm, I'd say yes, with the right fixings (big plasterboard butterfly ones and ideally 4 of them).
    Normal 12mm plasterboard, I wouldn't recommend it.
No personal experience of wall mounting plasmas, but I'm a pipe fitter who does fix stuff to plasterboard occasionally.
