I have a 507XD with wall bracket (the pio one) and want to mount it to a brick wall. I was wondering what length of screw I should use and whether ordinary rawl type plugs would be ok (I was going to use 5 screws - one at each corner and one at top dead center). I did search the mounting section of the forums honest!

DONT whatever you do just use ordinary rawl plugs - so not substantial enough.

What you need to use is expanding bolts - and use the longest ones you can get away with regarding the thickness of the wall.

The longer length will give a stronger fixing and will prevent any loosening or breakout that a short bolt could cause.

I would use at least six bolts for maximum security but there is no harm in using more if you feel it is necessary - better to be safe than sorry !

I would recommend that you try to get at least 4 inches of the bolt in the wall if the wall thickness permits this.

Nothing wrong with ralwplugs, just use 5 screws which are 2 inch long x12 wide or 2 and a half x 10. Each screw only has to support 16lbs.
