I have a square room in which I am dedicating to a cinema room.

I have plenty of room to wall mount my speakers or use stands.

Which sounds best (before I buy the stands).

    Thanks,
    Ted.

It's likely your speakers will sound the same either way. Aesthetics should dictate. My personal preference is for wall-mounted with the speaker wires buried in the wall. Also, wall mounting allows you to get the speakers up a wee bit higher, if that becomes necessary.

You must already have your speakers - bookshelf types, I assume. If so, as u32 says, it's a matter of aesthetics although some may argue that stand mounted will improve bass.

They are the small satellite ones.

Suppose the kids can't knock them off the walls either.
